2012 Herald Dispatch WV 5K Championship Date Announced!

The 2012 Herald Dispatch WV 5K Championship will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Downtown Huntington, Join the action as thousands of people run and walk to raise money to help fight childhood obesity in our area!

The Herald Dispatch WV5K is quickly becoming one the premier events in our area and this year we have added a number of new things to help make this the best 5K ever!

This year we will offer mile splits and live results on TriStateRacer.com. This means that as soon as you cross the finish line or one of the mile markers, you time will be instantly posted on TriStateRacer.com! 

For everyone that registers early, we are now offering custom bib numbers with YOUR name on them!! (Must pre-register by June 7)

Also new for 2012 is the Herald Dispatch WV5K Health Expo!  The Health Expo will be held at the Pullman Plaza Hotel from 5pm to 8pm on Friday night, June 22nd.   

The Expo will feature:

• Booths and exhibits
• Free health screenings
• Free Spaghetti Dinner provided by Huntington’s Kitchen
• Healthy Food samples from area chefs
• Exercise and fitness demonstrations  
• And more!

Early Race Packet Pick-Up

Avoid the registration table crowds on race day by picking up your team race packets which include: t-shirt, souvenir glass, bib number, and goody bag on Friday, June 22nd. 

Just stop by the Herald Dispatch WV5k Health Expo at the Pullman Plaza Hotel between 5pm. and 8pm.  Make sure you bring the e-mail confirmation you received when you registered.

(Everyone is strongly encouraged to pick up their race packets during this time)
