Charity Information

More Information

The purpose of this memorial run is to raise funding for a scholarship fund in Trooper Cameron Ponder’s name. The goal is to host this event annually so we can provide financial aid to well deserving young men and women for years to come. Cameron’s life goal was to affect change and help those in need. His family would like him remembered for how he lived his life and what he stood for, not how he died. Cameron loved God and his Country. He excelled academically, was a star athlete excelling in track, football and baseball. He was a US Naval combat veteran who served his country on a Navy Seal Team for six years. Cameron proudly served the citizens of Kentucky as a caring and compassionate Kentucky State Trooper. Cameron was a humble young man who placed all others before himself. The recipient of the Trooper Cameron Ponder Scholarship fund will be chosen based on these traits.

We hope that you will join us for this first annual run to help celebrate the life of Trooper Cameron Ponder. Following the race we will have music and food as well as a balloon release to honor Cameron.
