More Information

Founded by the YWCA Trenton and YWCA Princeton in 2007, Stand Against Racism is now a signature campaign of YWCA USA. This campaign is designed to build community among those who work for racial justice and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism. Stand Against Racism is one part of our larger national strategy to fulfill our mission of eliminating racism.

Groups of any size can take a Stand Against Racism by participating in the Race Against Racism. Stand Against Racism culminates in a commitment or re-commitment to work for racial justice by taking the pledge Against Racism.

“Racism continues to be a pervasive issue in our community and communities across the United States,” stated Debby Weinstein, executive director of the YWCA Charleston. “Stand Against Racism is just one way we can make a change by coming together to organize and show our commitment to eliminating racism.”
