That Dam Race 5k

A 5K loop, USATF Certification WV11001MS is mostly road with some trail. The race starts at the base of the beautiful Sutton Dam. The course follows the road to the top of the dam and across the top of the dam. From there, there is some trail running back down the other side of the dam. The course then changes back to road the rest of the way through historic down town Sutton, across the river and back to the base of the dam. Bring the little ones out for our Kids Race following the main race. Kids Race Registration will be free and prizes will be awarded! Proceeds from this years race will benefit the Mountaineer Food Bank!
Pre-Registration recieved before July 5th 2017 will be $20 which will include a t-shirt.
Race Day Registration will be $25. Participants 60+, Veterans, and Students $20
Race Day registration will begin at 7:00AM
0-12, 13-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-59, 60-65. 66+
1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female overall winners. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group.1st, 2nd, and 3rd, walkers.
No duplicate awards will be given.
Mountaineer Food Bank is a non-profit hunger relief organization whose mission is to feed the West Virginia’s hungry through a network of member feeding programs and engage our state in the fight to end hunger. MFB distributes food into 48 counties in West Virginia through a network of feeding programs including food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, Backpack programs and senior centers. In 2017, MFB distributed over 13.3 million meals into West Virginia
For every $1 donated to Mountaineer Food Bank, we are able to convert that into 10 meals for hungry people. Through a network of donors and partnerships, MFB is capable of sourcing and delivering fresh produce, dairy, meats and dry goods for local feeding programs. Our Backpack programs target children elementary age by delivering shelf stable, easy to use foods for the weekend at over 125 schools in the state. For many children, this is a primary source of food for the weekend.
