The simple answer is because you can!! They called us the fattest city in America. In our first year, we had the largest single 5K race in the state proving to the nation that this is RUNNINGTON, WV!!!

This event is all about the runner. We take every measure possible to ensure that this is a top-notch event. If this is going to be your first 5K or you are extremely competitive, you will walk away knowing that you competed in a TRUE CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT!!

Huntington Awarded WV 5K Championship for the 2nd year!

The state wide championship road race will be held in Huntington, WV on June 19, 2010. The race will be held in the downtown area with the start/finish line on Veteran's Memorial Blvd.

Andrew Benford and Jen Davis win 2009 WV 5K Championship

Richmond University and West Virginia Native Andrew Benford (14:54) outkicks Shawnee State Coach Eric Putnam (14:55) for the win. In the women's race, WV Native and WVU Coach Jen Davis (17:13) wins easily!
