What do you get when you cross the Thundering Herd with a group of Lions?? A "Thundering Pride!" Come out and join the race on Marshall's Homecoming Weekend! The theme this year is Mardi Gras-Marshall Style! If you desire, come dressed in your beads and mask, and burn off those calories from Fat Tuesday. The Homecoming Parade begins thereafter. The Marshall University Alumni Association will be partnering with the Southeast Huntington Lions Club for the event this year. Proceeds from the race will go to the Lions Club to support their local charities! Lions Club International is the world's largest service club organization. We have 1.35 million members in more than 45,000 clubs in more than 206 countries and geographic areas. Lions have a dynamic history. Founded in 1917, we are best known for fighting blindness, but locally we also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects - including caring for the environment, supporting boy and girl scouts, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled. We also organize the annual Lions Club Arts and Craft Show.
