7/24/08 Cox set to run MSU's new sport - That is Bruce Cox set to run Mountain State University's new XC program in Beckley, WV. He brings many years of experience. With the dismissal of the men's XC programs at Marshall and WVU, it is really nice to see XC starting at another school in WV.

 

7/24/08 River City Runners vital to local race - The Parkersburg based River City Runners gets a nice write-up about their contributions to our sport and their importance to the Parkersburg News and Sentinel Half-Marathon. This event is also the US Men's Championship Half-Marathon.

7/24/08 This may not be recent news but something not many people know about. The Paul Ambrose trail system in Huntington, WV. The 23-mile trail system is planning to connect the Altizer area to Ceredo-Kenova. Work on 8 miles of the trails was supposed to begin this summer. 7/4/08 Local Runners competing in US Track and Field Olympic Trials - WVUs Keri Bland ran in the women's 1500 last night where she qualified for the semis with a time of 4:19. Her boyfriend and TriStateRacer.com interviewee Josh Simpson runs his first race tonight. He is competing in the 10,000 tonight against Bernard Lagat and Adam Goucher to name a few. The trials will be televised tonight on the USA Network from 11PM - 1AM.
