Cox set to run MSU's new sport - That is Bruce Cox set to run
Mountain State University's new XC program in Beckley, WV. He brings
many years of experience. With the dismissal of the men's XC programs at
Marshall and WVU, it is really nice to see XC starting at another school
in WV.

River City Runners vital to local race - The Parkersburg based
River City Runners gets a nice write-up about their contributions to our
sport and their importance to the Parkersburg News and Sentinel
Half-Marathon. This event is also the US Men's Championship
Half-Marathon.

- A nice profile of a race walker from Parkersburg, Matt Boyles, who
just missed his opportunity for going to Beijing.

Striders win six medals at Duke meet - The Charleston Striders
sent a few of their athletes south and they came back with some nice

Cabell County Middle Schools to add Cross Country - This is an
excellent opportunity to get more young people out and running! Spread
the word!

not be recent news but something not many people know about. The Paul
Ambrose trail system in Huntington, WV. The 23-mile trail system is
planning to connect the Altizer area to Ceredo-Kenova. Work on 8 miles
of the trails was supposed to begin this summer. For more information on

Bun Run Coming Saturday (Herald-Dispatch) Yes, Our sport is
getting coverage in the paper!!! Check out this article about some of
the secrets to holding such a great race. Also, don't forget to sign up.
Let's see if we can break the record number of runners for a Tri-State
5k of 348 runners!!
